Although there have been many changes over the past 20 years, P3 Computers still stand by the principle of providing a quality service and look forward to the next 20 years.
Born in Burnley in 1962. Left Burnley Grammar School in 1978. I started an apprenticeship as a stone mason and did this for 11 years until a back injury forced me to quit. A local computer company kindly took a chance with me in the early 1990’s where I worked for nearly 3 years after which I setup P3 Computers.
I have a wonderful wife, daughter and two grand-daughters. My hobbies include football, racing, swimming, walking and packing as many holidays as possible into each year.
Left school in 1990 then I left college 18 months later with 2x Diplomas & 1x Distinction in I.T. and Business administration. Then worked in I.T. within Blackburn Borough Council, PrintaPrint, a local haulage firm, a textile supplier & an internet Domain Name and hosting company. Finally I started at P3 as a delivery driver, and quickly progressed into the Technical Department. Since then I’ve not stood still.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, I like music and try to get out for a cycle ride as much as possible.
I have been with P3 since 2000. Having 18 years IT experience after originally being trained as a Sheet Metal Fabricator after leaving school. Wanting a change in career I put myself through Part Time College and Microsoft Certification to gain various IT Based qualifications.
I enjoy spending my weekends with my family and watching plenty of Football. I recently started running and have become quite addicted entering various 10k and Half Marathon events. In my younger years I fancied myself as a bit of a Rock Star and was a singer in a few of local Rock Bands. ROCK ON.
I’ve been with P3 since the summer of 2006 and specialise in the repairs and builds of desktop computers. Prior to joining the team, I worked for a major mail order company, where I handled specialist enquiries and assisted the training team. I like to play PC games (not console games), and love to dabble in Linux, I am the first to try new software, and relishe unusual IT problems.
Outside of IT, I play guitar as a co-founding member of a local band and practices drums almost nightly (on an electronic kit).
